“It could be worse than some of the assertions made by McCarthy, depending on some of the validity of those assertions.” Paul Mirengoff from the very conservative Power Line blog about Liz Cheney’s crusade against seven Justice attorneys

She needs to be taken down a notch or ten. She needs to be humiliated and so does her father.

it’s amazing to me how the “liberal” beltway media refuses to realize how dangerous this stuff is–This stuff incites violence,a nd the media is more than happy to assist.

The Cheneys are garbage, disgusting, evil, horrible, subhuman, any negative adjective pretty much sums them up. Fuckers.

  • JackDanieL

Of course the media is happy to assist JG – just think of the headlines!

Speaking of headlines, this one is great on Yahoo’s front page right now –Shadow of Saddam Hussein hangs over elections in IraqThe news just aint the news without a horrible pun tossed in

Liz knows full well there’s no reasonable grounds to impugn the character of DOJ lawyers. She knows they are not only competent, but in the case of particular named attorneys, they represent the absolute cream of the legal crop. She also knows that none of them are Al Qaeda sympathizers; none are anti-American; none pose any sort of risk to national security. Yet this is precisely the message she intends and implies with this latest media campaign. She does all of this because Liz, while lacking the sort of experience to make the arguments she is sadly and pathetically making, does know that her father (if the truth is ever fully revealed) stands as good a chance of hanging as Khalid Sheik Mohammad. The argument is fleshed out here.

To some on the Right (hello, Ann Coulter!), McCarthy wasn’t a dangerous, deranged, alcoholic lunatic—he was a hero who perhaps went a bit too far, but who was destroyed by the liberals for standing up to international communism. I’m wondering whether Liz Cheney isn’t perfectly happy following in McCarthy’s footsteps, taking rhetorical shots from all quarters, knowing that there will eventually be another successful terrorist attack, after which she can claim vindication for herself and for her father.

Liz Cheney is a loudmouthed, inhuman, lying, threat to freedom.
