Wingnut Email of the Day

(So far.)

Here’s a prime example of the self-contradictory emails I’ve been receiving. In essence: We’re not racists, but here’s why we hate blacks and immigrants.

The Tea Party is NOT about race, it is about me paying taxes to support every non contributing individual that has the ability to pro create. It is not my/our fault that the majority of NON contributors are minority. It is not my/our fault some refuse to learn English, thereby limiting their employment opportunities. Hell, the whole race thing is nothing but bullshit for losers such as Garafolo and yourself to capitalize on. Rest assured Booby Boy we no longer give a damn about what you think do or say The main reason the Tea Party exists is Obama’s Marxist/Socialistic COMMUNISTIC leanings that will ultimately cost me, part of the 50% that pays taxes, as opposed to the 50% that DON’T PAY!! An ideology that will transform this Country into a third world nation. Try having some honest debate Booby and you might gain cred. Until then you’re shining Garafolo’s shoes.
Sounds to me like you may be an immigrant yourself with an axe to grind. Is that the case Booby? If so you can always go home!
Careful moron that light you’re looking at is a train not the end of the tunnel……

Nope. No racism there.

“The main reason the Tea Party exists is Obama’s Marxist/Socialistic COMMUNISTIC leanings that will ultimately cost me…”Whoa, what happened to it being non partisan and about taxes and fiscal responsibility?

  • Akiko

Hahaha! I bet that guy can’t find his ass with both hands!

  • http://zirgar.blogspot.com ZIRGAR

Rest assured Booby Boy we no longer give a damn about what you think do or sayI love the irony in that statement. Yep, he/she cares so little about what you have to say that he/she went comepletely out of his/her way to send you an email just to show you how much he/she doesn’t care.

  • http://zirgar.blogspot.com ZIRGAR

Dammit! I didn’t mean for the whole thing to be in blockquotes! My brain must be teabagging on me today.

  • Ben Vos

“The majority of Non-contributors are minorities.” Anyone have any evidence to prove that little “fact”?

  • http://www.bobcesca.com Bob_Cesca

Ben — The emails I’m receiving are fact-free.

  • http://www.phydeauxpseaks.blogspot.com Phydeaux Speaks

Pro create… as opposed to amateur create?

  • Kat

“Booby” boy? And here I thought you were only interested in dicks by the bag. I’m so confused.

  • http://janna janna

It’s been awhile since I read some statistics on the breakdown of public assistance recipients, food stamps medicaid, etc, by ethnicity. The large % of white people was high, much higher than the emailer above would ever let himself believe. Does anyone have the most current accurate stats?

  • eve

Very fact-challenged people. Are they stupid or just too lazy to research the bullshit FOX feeds them? Or both? They may or may not like communism (Do they even know what it is?) but they sure love propaganda.

  • http://cousinavi.wordpress.com cousinavi

I don’t know who said it, but it’s becoming insanely true. This teabagger shit is like the French Revolution, except the crowds are screaming, “LONG LIVE THE KINGS! YES, WE WILL EAT CAKE!”I’ve just acquired a couple of my own flaming right wing crazies over at VNV – one with “an itchy trigger finger”.Speaking of which…ZIRGAR…drop by and plant some tread marks on them for me.The disjointed idiocy is here.

please read the whole article:http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_edward_r_080326_misdirections_and_mi.htmAlthough at the height of the discussion concerning welfare reform most Americans believed that welfare was causing a financial hardship to many working-class Americans, the actual cost of welfare programs was about 1 percent of the federal budget and 2 percent of state budgets (McLaughlin, 1997) which is proportionally less than generally believed. During the 104th Congress, more than 93 percent of the budget reductions in welfare benefits came from programs for low-income people (Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, 1996). Ironically, what created real financial hardship on working- and middle-class Americans was the rising percentage of American wealth gravitating to the top 1% of the population. Spending on AFDC or TANF, the programs normally referred to as welfare, totaled less than $500 billion from 1964 to 1994 (compare that to one year of Pentagon spending).see Bob’s chart on earlier postAs the myth of the Black ‘welfare queen” took root; in the heat of the offensive against this nation’s poor and Black folk, the belief was that the majority of welfare beneficiaries were Black women when in fact children, not women, were the largest group of people receiving public assistance. Less than 5 million of the 14 million public assistance recipients were adults, and 90 percent of those adults were women. The majority of the welfare recipients were white (U.S. Bureau of Census, 1995). The breakdown of the ethnicity of the recipients were White (38 percent), followed by 37 percent African Americans, and 25 percent other minority groups (Latinos, Native Americans, and Asian Americans) (McLaughlin, 1997). This reality flies in the face of what was (and still is) bandied about concerning Blacks and welfare.Barbara Ehrenreich in her TIME piece titled, Welfare: A White Secret (12/16/91), stated “So our confession stands: white folks have been gobbling up the welfare budget while blaming someone else. But it’s worse than that. If we look at Social Security, which is another form of welfare, although it is often mistaken for an individual insurance program, then whites are the ones who are crowding the trough. We receive almost twice as much per capita, for an aggregate advantage to our race of $10 billion a year — much more than the $3.9 billion advantage African Americans gain from their disproportionate share of welfare. One sad reason: whites live an average of six years longer than African Americans, meaning that young black workers help subsidize a huge and growing ‘overclass of white retirees.’ In this same article she goes on to say “Whites, near poor and middle class, need help too — as do the many African Americans, Hispanics and ‘others’ who do not qualify for aid but need it nonetheless.”

  • Ben Vos

Thanks for the post, Eve. It’s what I already thought I knew, but I forgot about Ehrenreich’s contribution to the literature. As she describes in “Nickled and Dimed”, the real issue here is the cost of “saving big money” shopping at Walmart by allowing Walmart to pay wages that don’t give employees enough to survive and make ends meet. We’re gonna have to pay for it one way or another.

  • jane

Looking past the racism (hard to do), the nugget about the 50% who DO pay taxes is bullshit.Obviously this kind of statistic completely ignores sales tax. The figures were actually quite stunning, showing the effective tax bracket the poorest of us are in.

  • http://janna janna

Thanks eve.I wonder what the stats are now after the great recession hit but definitive numbers don’t seem to catch up for a couple of years.

  • Allonfla

Wait, you actually understood what he wrote?

  • Josh Dobbin

I will bet you good money this guy is at the bottom of the tax brackets and thinks he’s at the top.

  • http://tarackian.deviantart.com/ J M Ashby

^ Im sure Dobbin is correct. The guy probably doesn’t realize that the wealthy pay a lower percentage of their income in taxes than he does.

  • kansasdem

I didn’t get very far!Consider “pro create” vs the proper “procreate”. Do they separate the two so they only create pros????????????Effing idiots.

  • indyinwc

Would someone please give me real, actual, proven example of something Marxist, Socialistic or Communistic that Obama has done, proposed or evensuggested? Where does this repeatedly ad nauseum crap keep coming from?

  • Dr. Squid

@indyinwc:Because the new sheriff is a ni(BONGGGGG). It’s code for old kooks who are still scared that the Soviet Union is using African Americans to foment revolution.

  • http://cousinavi.wordpress.com cousinavi

Consider “pro create” vs the proper “procreate”. Do they separate the two so they only create pros?

Apparently someone has never knocked up a hooker.

  • http://cousinavi.wordpress.com cousinavi

There appears to be a new ad banner at the top of the page. Also apparently, since I’m in Taiwan, I’m getting served banners in Mandarin.I don’t read Mandarin…but it does give The Goddamn Awesome Blog a homey feel.Do you get much traffic from Asia?/There can be only one.

  • eve

cousinavi — it’s creepy but those ads are for YOU.I was looking online yesterday for some things for my mom. Some of the sites I visited are now on the banners on this site.

  • bibimimi

    Seig…

  • bibimimi

Lucky Duck rises from the grave and shambles toward the nearest county welfare office.Good times.

  • TheVeritableBuddhist

I have yet to hear either 1) a coherent argument about how Obama is actually a Socialist/Communist or 2) a single explanation of what the Teabaggers are actually about from two or more people. Nobody can ever really seem to agree.

  • Jan

Wow. I think my head is exploding.THIS is what we are dealing with???Time to move to Europe. Or Canada. Or the Netherlands.I must say I am getting a bit frightened at the wingnuts we have livng in our country. These folks ARE OUT OF THEIR MINDS.

  • http://www.twoeightnine.com twoeightnine

Whose fault is it though that he refuses to learn English?

  • Johnnie Barnes

Mr. Cesca, I will be sure to tell the Black, Immigrant, Air Force Academy graduate running for the 5th Congressional District seat in Northern Alabama not to attend any further TEA Party events. I’m sure the standing ovations he receives are merely a ruse to lull him into a false sense of security before they take him out and lynch him. In reality these racist TEA Party members are contributing to his campaign because they want him to fail miserably and make a complete fool of himself or do you have that market cornered? Best Regards.

  • http://www.phydeauxpseaks.blogspot.com Phydeaux Speaks

Johnnie Reb — I mean Barnes — much like “it’s snowing at my house, ergo Climate Change is a lie”, your example does not stand for the TEA[sic] Party as a whole.

  • http://politicalpartypooper.wordpress.com/ Political Party Pooper

“cousinavi — it’s creepy but those ads are for YOU.”I don’t ever get adds…I must be special, or disadvantaged. :(

  • kansasdem

“the Black, Immigrant, Air Force Academy graduate running for the 5th Congressional District seat in Northern Alabama”Errrm, strange you couldn’t use a name and then explain that (s)he is a black immigrant with a military background that attends TEA party events.

  • MrBrink

Bob, check out the Tax Foundation website. Here’s a handy chart that shows how blue states carry the bulk of the tax load for red and reddish states.Blue states are subsidizing red states.Someone please tell the wingnuts they are the national charity case. For every federal tax dollar paid by oh, say, Mississippi, they get back$2.02.South Carolina gets back $1.53.Alaska- $1.83Alabama- $1.66For every dollar in federal tax paid by Illinois– we got back .75 cents.Pass it along.

  • Josh Dobbin

the Black, Immigrant, Air Force Academy graduate running for the 5th Congressional District seat in Northern Alabama

“Jimmy’s one of my Jewish friends.”"Then you ARE prejudiced.”Clearly, Johnnie, you did not watch this PSA in your Saturday morning cartoons:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBJXtTIbDTo

  • Wilson Reese

“the Black, Immigrant, Air Force Academy graduate”Yes, Johnnie, be sure to tell the “Black, Immigrant” Mitchell Howie running for the Democratic nomination in the 5th Congressional District all about the Tea Party events being held in his honor with standing ovations and such. I find it likely that Mr. Howie will be quite shocked and mortified to be associated with such group. What I would like to know is why the lies? Why make shit up that can be disproven in an instant by searching the internet?Mr. Howie, Air Force Academy graduate and former attorney for the Judge Advocate General Corps is running for the 5th District, while he happens to be white, his grandfather is famous for being one of the few white doctors to accept black and welfare children who couldn’t afford to pay during the years before the Civil Rights Act. (Teabaggers gotta love that)Oh and here’s the video, roll tape……http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0pNf3rQN5w&feature=player_embedded

  • Johnnie Barnes

Wow you people are cold. ‘Johnnie Reb” really that’s your best shot. Yes I’m a bigot (let’s use the correct terminology if we are going to judge others we don’t know) please don’t tell my mixed race (Black/White) grandchildren (especially my grandson as he’s named for me) or my Black son-in-law who calls me his “White Dad” (family jokes I’m sure it’s above y’alls level of understanding). Les Phillip is the candidate I referred to, not Mitch Howie. Mr. Reese you might want to get more facts before you expose your ignorance. And no watching Saturday morning cartoon PSA’s is more up your alley than mine Mr. Dobbin. You folks have a nice day and wallow in your ivory tower of ignorance and bigotry. Me, I’ll take my bigotry and TEA Party friends, we’ll go to the polls and vote for Les Phillip (the best choice IMHO) and Arthur Davis for Governor.

  • Johnnie Barnes

BTW for those of you incapable of searching the facts: Artur Davis, is a graduate of Harvard and Harvard Law. He is currently serving his 4th term as the Alabama 7th Congressional Districts representative and is a candidate for Governor of Alabama. My friend Arthur happens to be a Democrat and please let him know, bigot that I am, I noticed he’s Black. Good day.

  • Wilson Reese

“Mr. Reese you might want to get more facts before you expose your ignorance.”Barnes”I will be sure to tell the Black, Immigrant, Air Force Academy graduate”BarnesMy mistake was to use your facts, sir. Mr. Phelps, whom you declined to name in your first post, was a graduate of the Naval Academy, not Air Force, so my mistake was natural. I believe, yours, was from ignorance. Thanks for your complete waste of my time, God bless your little heart.
