No Racism Here

Via John Cole, Tea Party Express chairman Mark Williams apparently let fly with the truth about the movement’s racism and use of the Southern Strategy to boost membership.

Yep, Williams posted a bizarre rant in which he mocks NAACP chairman Ben Jealous and “colored people.”

It gets worse. Williams goes on to imply that “coloreds” don’t want to be “productive members of society” and the Tea Party is merely insisting that “coloreds” “work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards.”

What was Sarah Palin saying about the tea party the other day?

I might need a few minutes to absorb this… my mouth is literally dropped open.I need a drink, too.

I’m with Becky. This requires lifting my jaw off the floor. After reading about Williams for months I can’t help but wonder if he is pulling a Beck — a charlatan looking for fame via insanity. I just can’t believe people can be this horribly void of relevant thought.Jennifer

Not surprising. These bigots are stupid on top of being ignorant.

This is perhaps one of the most racist things I’ve ever read. Utterly disgusting. There’s nothing else to really say about it.CNN is giving air-time to this closet KKK member? They should be ashamed of themselves.

CNN already picked up Erik Ericsson who said justice stevens was a “goat-fucking child molestor”, might as well give this guy airtime too. This williams, mocking the “colored” people and mocking them for not having stuck with the “massa” making the decisions for them…What exactly did he hope to accomplish with this? And how long before the talking heads of Fox defend him?

Another sign of the apocalypse: I agree with Allen? Perhaps I have had tee many martoonis.

More of this, please, Mark Williams. Expose the GOtP for what it truly is, and further alienate minority voters just in time for November. Couldn’t ask for better timing.

Good for you, Allen. Thank you for the honesty, sir.

Wo de ma he ta de fong kung de wai sheng dou! (Holy mother of god and all her wacky nephews!)I read Mark Williams’s outburst (twice), and while I can’t be sure, I think he was aiming for parody; he just fell several parsecs short. Partly because he has no apparent sense of humor, mostly because he’s a racist. Now I need a stiff drink and a gallon of brain bleach.

  • alopecia

Oh, and of course we’re the real racists for noticing the racially insensitive language, or some such nonsense. These people are tiresome.

MarKKK Williams may overtake Glenn BecKKK for the Punch-Me Face title.I’d sure as hell like to deck him.

“What was Sarah Palin saying about the tea party the other day?”Of course there were her facebook and twitter denials of racism, but you might not have seen the video on Fox where she says she wants the president to“refudiate” the NAACP charge of racism in the tea party. Refudiate, a new Palin word you won’t find in Webster’s.

Just another example of the Republicans’ Big (Circus) Tent. They’ll let in effing freak.

2 things!1) Do people in 21st century still say colored people. Poor Markie, he has not grasped the fact that ‘of colour’ folks are proud to be who they are!2) Hey Mark Williams, you seem to be stuck in a time that is more in your racist bigoted mind than with the colored folk you know nothing about. I put it to you that the colored folk that you refer to have acknowledged that ‘massa day done’!

That was an open the head and look inside moment for the Tea Party. When they say they don’t like ‘spread the wealth’, ‘extend unemployment benifits’, ‘healthcare for all’, ‘stimulus money’ and ‘President Obama’ that screed is what happens in their head. Now, will any Tea Party leader step up and condemn this diatribe, run Williams out of the movement to obscurity? I doubt it.This needs to be aired everywhere so those who think like this can see it in front of their face and perhaps realize the shamefull way they think.
