Beck Stokes Muslim Terrorist Rumors

Here’s Glenn Beck tweaking the paranoia and fear of his easily-influenced viewers, implying that the President of the United States is a terrorist Manchurian candidate.

I can’t imagine anything going haywire with this line of attack from Beck and his disciples… The president is a secret Muslim. Muslims are terrorists. We must torture and kill all terrorists.

    I love the implication that the Obama’s (his wife’s in on it too!!!) are leaving a trail of breadcrumb clues that only Beck can decipher.You think maybe there’s more than a few of Beck’s hoople disciples that are hoping he stages a revolution at his little get together this weekend? A glorious retaking of our nation back from whatever it is they’re frightened of this week?

    Hello, long time reader, first time poster. That being said, anyone who believes a word Beck says should be checked for an extra chromosome. This guy is a tool, and even my conservative/libertarian family hate this guy.

    Holy fucking fuckbags…did he just make the implication I think he made? The First Lady passed messages to terrorists while she was in Spain, and that possibly the President is doing this, too???So this is why my wingnut brother-in-law thinks President Obama is a spy.Words simply fail. I don’t care how disappointed any Dem or progressive or liberal is with this administration, we have got to come together to beat down this ugly, vile, insidious frightwing monster that’s coming at us in November.

    Mr. Bisley–I’m glad your conservative family thinks Beck is an idiot. My parents unfortunately were planning to go to DC for Beck’s rally next week—luckily those plans fell apart. They were fairly moderate in their political views leaning more to the left than the right until the past few years. The shift to the right and now wingnut status has a lot to do with the amount of Fox News they watch. Plus, their favorite show is Glen Beck. I’ve been told on numerous occasions that Beck backs up what he says with facts and even video proof. I’ve tried to explain that they should not believe everything they see because video can appear to prove different viewpoints depending on how it is edited. I don’t know it is their age (both are in their mid-60s), their rural lifestyle, or their lack of higher education, but they are buying every single word this idiot sells them. And from what I can tell, all their friends do too.

    This is all about Beck’s No Logic Allowed rally. He’s worried about attendance, so he’s amping up the crazy.Bill O’Reilly offered Glenn Beck his time-slot if Beck’s rally draws more than 10,000. Think about that: Bill O’Reilly, of all people, is calling someone out as delusional.Was that a flock of pigs that just flew by?

    I think that Glenn Beck is quite simply an opportunist…a very sly one at that.What is incredibly frightening is the fact that there are so many ‘voters’ out there who lap up his every word. People who are intellectually lazy, or perhaps don’t have the capacity to think things through. (I tend toward the former, considering the American appetite for American Idol, The Bachelor, those weird ‘dance shows’, not to mention all those magazines who ‘make’ celebrities out of anyone & everyone.)Add to the mix, those who are angry & just want to direct that anger at an easy target, without having to think about facts.Very worrisome, to say the least.
