The trailer for Will Bunch’s phenomenal new book.

I’m about halfway through and it’s really a masterpiece. The chapter about Beck and Goldline alone is worth the price of admission.

Saw Will speak the other day on one of the channels.Looks like an outstanding book. But, as a leftie, will it make my head explode???

The irony is almost too much to bear. From the Amazon description:”Will Bunch reveals the secrets behind the crusade against Obama, exploring how forces like radical militia groups, the Tea Party, pro-gun zealots, and Glenn Beck have combined old-fashioned populist outrage with digital-age phobias to produce a wave of resentment that many have ridden straight to the bank.”I mean, seriously? The guy is writing a completely useless book on the loony right, selling for $25.99 list. Who’s riding what to the bank again?Certainly, Bunch couldn’t write a book on how corporations have come to diminate the average Americans entire life. Those don’t sell too well. Would they be useful? Yes, but wouldn’t put enough moolah in Bunch’s bank account. This entire country has gone collectively insane. It’s a functional insanity, but insanity nonetheless.

Allen, everyone knows that corporations run everything, that’s why voters choose either to let them run rampant or put them in check. They’re like natural disasters occurring on prime land. No one is going to give up their dependence on them because they know no other way of life. However, we deem to put structures in place to uphold a certain measure of restraint. The system in place is sound, it is us – we the cogs, including those that may run the corporations and the people we elect – that have buckled.Yes, this book sounds fascinating in that “preaching to the choir” way. Insights by way of critical thinking are always enticing. I have no problem giving an individual my hard-earned dollars if I feel he has something relevant to contribute. The rightwing conmen and women that I’m sure this book covers are only interesting to an individual like myself if they’re being studied like fungus in a dusty attic. The country is not collectively insane, only intellectually indolent, which is what I figure Allen is really attempting to relay. My apologies to Allen is this is incorrect. However, I say that if the country were insane, they’d be buy the books, fry them in fatty grease, and serve them to their families. That ain’t happening…at least as far as I can tell.

Well, I just ordered it. How do you feel about Glenn Beck’s ghostwritten books, Allen? And please feel free to give us a critique or synopsis on them. My guess is that they’re sitting in your library.

    No Kindle version. Not cool.

There is a Kindle version. And it’s 13 bucks. I don’t buy Kindle books for more than 9.99 on principle… and this book doesn’t look like it’s gonna tell me anything I don’t already know.
