Someone with the know-hows of the Wikipedia should get on the case- Bob’s page can be immediately reverted to a previous version, and if this idiot is repeatedly changing it to this absurd, completely uncited, and libelous bullcrap, then you can request that he be blocked from the wiki-ing completely.

Also, for the record, here’s the text of the malicious Wikipedia editing:—Cesca is known in the progressive community as “Bobamatron”. This is a reference to Bob Cesca’s incessant raving about Barack Obama, and his visceral hatred of anyone who dares question Obama’s effectiveness as President. Cesca regularly blocks posts on his blog that are critical of Obama, and has even deleted HuffingtonPost accounts of users he disagrees with. Cesca has also bad-mouthed real progressives, specifically attacking Jane Hamsher of the site FireDogLake. Many in the progressive community want Cesca removed from HuffingtonPost for his abhorrent behavior. Cesca has been accused of running a hate site at bobcesca.com, as he encourages his readers to verbally attack anyone who is critical of Obama. This is has led to blogger Lee Stranahan abandoning the site, citing the “toxic environment” that Bob encourages. An example of a post Bob Cesca will not post:Forget me, let’s see what Robert Reich has to say about the bill:The American people will continue to have to foot the bill for the mistakes of Wall Street’s biggest banks because the legislation does nothing to diminish the economic and political power of these giants. It does not cap their size. It does not resurrect the Glass-Steagall Act that once separated commercial (normal) banking from investment (casino) banking. It does not even link the pay of their traders and top executives to long-term performance. In other words, it does nothing to change their basic structure. And for this reason, it gives them an implicit federal insurance policy against failure unavailable to smaller banks – thereby adding to their economic and political power in the future.http://www.commondreams.org/view/2010/07/16-3Read that last line again: Adding to their [the banks] economic and political power in the future. That’s right. Just like the health insurance bill will make insurance companies more entrenched, this bill will make the investment banks more entrenched. So once again, Obama capitulates and gets a nice press release out of it. His enablers – like Bob Cesca – reprint the press release, just like the automaton White House press core. And the banks get what they want.Interestingly, Europe had no problems enacting REAL financial reform. I wonder why Obama couldn’t do that same. Oh right, I forgot. We need to be realistic. We can’t hold Obama to campaign promises. As a side note, Bob often quotes Robert Reich – but not on this piece. I wonder why. No really, I know why. Bob cherry picks his quotes from Reich, Greenwald, et al. Only when they serve Bob’s agenda (lavishing constant praise on Obama) does he care to quote them.Obama: Just like Bush, only worse. At least with Bush you knew he was evil and full of shit.In addition, another great post on how the banks are already fully prepared to circumvent the rules. No that anyone here will read it.http://www.commondreams.org/view/2010/07/21-3

@vgranucci – Since you’re in there fixing things up, why not add a line that says something like, “Bob Cesca is responsible for discovering Elvis Dingeldein, who is a genius. They now co-host a show together on The iTunes, which you can download and carry in your pants.”Stick that in there. You can totally just make shit up on Wiki anyway.

When I read that your wiki entry was being maligned I immediately thought wingnuts. But nope, firebaggers are worse.

Hey, I think the “fly the flag right” gold fringe kerfuffle has something to do with gold fringed flags only being used for certain very formal events- military funerals or something. But it’s still become my new favorite euphemism: “Hey, fly the flag right, there, bud.”

Oh, Elvis, silly fella! OF COURSE we sent you something, the same day we sent Bob his stuff, so I don’t know why you didn’t get it. Maybe Priority Mail takes a little longer to get to the Farm of Doom.PS Bob – you pronounced “surfactants” perfectly!

You guys may have already untangled this, but the Alinsky/Lucifer thing was a reference to the “archetype of rebellion” which, was basically equivalent to a smart Tweet, because only smart people would get it and it was a two second off hand thing (hence Glenn Beck & 97% of the Right’s inability to get it) that the man whose every thesis, invocation, and recommendation had to do with not becoming a doctrinaire, hence, not subscribing to *religion* or any doctrine. If he was anything other than agnostic, he was un-ethusiastically Jewish. No devil there either. In Judaism Satan is adversary and not loaded like it is in Christianity. Also Catholic Social Justice movement aligned with Alinsky movements back in the day. Enter Hagee types flailing spittle and hatred, & Glen Beck Millenarian types who also like to associate Catholicism with the Devil. It’s actually just boring how predictable Beck is.

@Pea — Thank you, ladies! Received my package yesterday afternoon (post-show), and Peanut loves the peanuts! Cheers!

Black pirate soap! Cool! Also, I recalled the Lucifer dedication, but don’t have my copy, signed by the Organizer in Chief, of Rules here. I found this on-line and believe it is the correct quote from Rules for Radicals:”Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer.” Could it be…. SATAN?!
