I think Clinton’s quote is better;”Republicans are utterly impervious to evidence.”

  • NickMpls

Bob, you made me cry a little into my whiskey.

  • Allen Frederick

Yeah, it’s all the GOPs fault. Not Democrats. Never Democrats.Let’s see …Who signed NAFTA again?Oh yeah, I forgot. Too inconvenient for bobcesca.com. A snappy little “Democrats Only” quote is a better headline.Congrats Bob! You are officially the Erick Erickson of the Democratic party. bobcesca.com is Red State for Democrats. It’s not much, but I guess it’s an accomplishment you can be proud of.

  • veralynn

the red state for democrats? really? wow, you’ve never read anything stranahan writes then….I’m sorta envious of that now that I think about it.and I will just add: FRO FREEDOM!silly Allen, tilting at windmills…….

Allen forgot to take his lithium.

  • Becky Kutz

Does it strike anyone else as possible that Allen could be Bob’s Evil Firebagger Alter Ego?

  • Len

Hey Allen……FUCK YOU!!! Sorry about that everybody else.

  • Mather Z

This is news? Are we really surprised that Democrats are being unjustly attacked?Progressives need to learn what conservatives already know: Facts. Don’t. Matter. We’re getting hammered out there, and it isn’t for actually doing a bad job. It’s for being *perceived* as doing a bad job, because conservatives are willing to lie, and lie, and lie. Then they poll to see if their lies are working, and then adjust the lies accordingly, then poll again. And then adjust the lies again. They fine-tune to get the right lies to get the poll numbers that they want, then they point at the poll numbers to say “See? You’re going against the will of the American people!”They’re playing Family Feud with national politics, and they’re cheating at it. And they might be winning. We’re not going to win by rationally explaining things with evidence and conscientiousness. Obama got elected by a small part of superior policy platform and a large part of winning the emotional battle.Wringing our hands and saying “But it’s not our fault! WHY do they believe such stupid things?” isn’t going to get us anywhere. We need to write off the lost causes, give the base some red meat, and make sure that those in the middle know that one side of the debate is the good side, and the other is the evil side. Doesn’t matter how, but attacking the liars with both barrels is a good start. We’re not going to win by staying out of the dirt.So even morons like Allen Frederick need to be spoken to, and made to answer the question:Who do you honestly think is going to take this country in the right direction? If the answer is “Republicans”, you have to explain how. Because the Republicans haven’t.

  • MrBrink

@FrederickYou should be ashamed. All this B-actor Tank Man bullshit just to prove you can yank your own molar out is worrisome.Pass that along to Ana Pascal’s hackish clone. It’s destructive behavior and its high time you snot bubbles remember that the last time the Republican party controlled congress (click that shit for the brief refresher) as well as the presidency– thousands of Americans were floating face down on the streets of Louisiana! This is then Judiciary Committee Chairman, James Sensennbrenner(R-WI) shutting down debate over the reauthorization of the Patriot Act of all things– the last time Republicans conducted House in the peoples’ honor. 6 minutes of quality C-SPAN, Cheswick.Damn man. And that’s just a quick peep-hole cock in the eye.Democrats can be moved.”NO!” doesn’t budge.

  • MrBrink

They’re playing Family Feud with national politics, and they’re cheating at it.

@Mather ZThat’s really good stuff, amongst several other outstanding points.Great read.

  • mattpd

18 months? I think they were blaming obama 18 minutes after his election. I seem to remember a lot of “why isn’t he’s” in the time between his election and inauguration.
