Republican Dirty Tricks

Another creepy and weird Republican story out of Arizona:

Mr. Pearcy and other drifters and homeless people were recruited onto the Green Party ballot by a Republican political operative who freely admits that their candidacies may siphon some support from the Democrats. Arizona’s Democratic Party has filed a formal complaint with local, state and federal prosecutors in an effort to have the candidates removed from the ballot, and the Green Party has urged its supporters to steer clear of the rogue candidates.

My question is: Why? If the climate is so batshit crazy that Jan Brewer will likely be re-elected, why in the world would they need to engage in this sort of thing? Someone find out if Rove has been spotted in Phoenix caucusing with hobos.

    It smells like Rove.

Sounds like something Rove came up with for kicks while he was on the toilet.

I’m proud to announce this sentence has never been uttered in the history of language:”find out if Rove has been spotted in Phoenix caucusing with hobos”

    Kudos, Bob.

It sounds to me more like an audition: this Steve May character is trying to attract the attention of the national party. Alternatively, if you want to tie Rove to this, then consider it a tryout for the majors: “Show me what you got, kid.”Disgusting, either way.(“Someone find out if Rove has been spotted in Phoenix caucusing with hobos.” That sentence sounds like a Mad Lib done after someone had ingested a lot of peyote. Just sayin’.)

What surprises me is that this isn’t illegal.

Two reasons: One, The Republican party’s official motto is “Fuck You,” and has been for 30 years – they’re dong this to prove they can; and Two, because absolutely no one involved with this will pay any sort of price for it whatsoever. And no high-ranking Republican will be called on the carpet, or even meet the Press, to explain this or disassociate himself from it.

Take it form someone who lives in AZ, there will be no repercussions for this kind of chicanery. This is the same state that elected Evan Meacham! We’re so stupid here that they’ll vote Jan Brewer back into office even though she’s continuously lied about the violence down near the border and that she’s an overall imbecile. In fact, they’ll vote her in because “she’s just like us”, like Palin, just like us. AZ……the new laughingstock of Real Murika!

What kills me is that NPR gave this asshat May about ten minutes of softball questions and self-puffery about his own legitimacy and the “rudeness” of the “Democrat Party” with NO response time for any Democrats. No pledge from me this year.
