Worst Persons in the World

Halliburton is really working hard to become one of the most dastardly corporations in the world.

Halliburton knew weeks before the fatal explosion of the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico that the cement mixture they planned to use to seal the bottom of the well was unstable but still went ahead with the job, the presidential commission investigating the accident said on Thursday.

For most of the Bush years, Halliburton was on top of our collective liberal shit-list. And rightfully so. The atrocities in Iraq alone are evidence enough of their awfulness and ought to justify our disdain. Though I’m sure there are a variety of self-hating liberals, “both sides” festishists and cable news doofs who believe there’s an equivalence between Halliburton and, say, ACORN. Somehow.

I’m sure its just a coincidence that they bought up one of the biggest oil spill recovery companies before this happened right?Another example of the coincidence theory that has plagued many disasters, man made and natural. When are people gonna stop being afraid of calling out a conspiracy (the dictionary meaning and not the common vernacular meaning of “crazy person”) when there is enough evidence to warrant it?

    1) In times past, people would grind up acorns to make a paste.2) Concrete is like paste.3) Profit — err, I mean Halliburton and ACORN are exactly the same!
