It's subtle but it's there. The effort to paint Sarah Palin as the reincarnated Ronald Reagan. Here's McCain playing along:
"I think anybody that has the visibility that Sarah has is obviously going to have some divisiveness," McCain said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I remember that a guy named Ronald Reagan used to be viewed by some as divisive."
I'm fairly certain that, even in the later years, Reagan didn't need a cork on his fork -- to prevent him hurting himself. And others. Seriously, though, Reagan? No fork cork.
Then again, according to Palin herself, Reagan was in the movie "Bedtimes for Bozo." And she has her own reality show. So, you know, exactly the same. If you squint at Palin, you can almost see Reagan standing there... exploiting his/her children and family for the gawking basic cable viewing public.
