Correction! Tracey Walter played “Frog” on BEST OF THE WEST. William Sanderson was on both NEWHART and DEADWOOD.

“When the omni’s red, it means history’s wrong, its’ our job to get everything back on track”AND”Bat’s breath!”Thanks for the Voyagers flashback, I can’t wait to listen to the show today :)

  • Dan

You guys need to have 5 shows per week.

  • Peebs

Bob, William Sanderson did play “Lippy” on Lonesome Dove, which also included a character named “Frog Lip”, played by Julius Tennon. Maybe that’s what you were thinking of….but, yeah, E.B. Farnum, played by William Sanderson on Deadwood…all kinds of awesome.

Welcome back! And another great show.I swear…Elvis and I have sooooo much in common. I saw Schindler’s List on a lonely Sunday in a motel while traveling for work. I was depressed as hell to begin with and I sobbed like a baby. And I haven’t watched “The Road” for the same reason he hasn’t. And I hate McCain too, but I have to live near the old bastard….his home on Central Ave was old recently sold (I only live a mile or two away from it). I hate the fact that he reps my state! And one more thing, almost all of my family’s involvement in the Civil War was on the part of the South too…..Elvis, you didn’t happen to have any family in the 9th Miss Infantry did you? If so what company?I have to disagree with Bob on Family Guy. the whole point of the show is the fact that it is supposed to be derivative and it makes fun of American comedy as being unoriginal and completely derivative. It’s like a mobius strip of derivative derivateness, if you know what I mean ;)

Oh, great soap idea for Bubble Genius…the 3 stooges!

hahahaha @ Elvis getting pissed at wealth redistribution whiners.

GREAT show, guys!!I remember that snowstorm in DC in ’87. the subway was damn near empty that day, and when I arrived at work at 10am, the 18th and k st. area was completely deserted. All over a few inches of snow. Hilarious! :) Glad to see you’re still here, Elding!

It’s good to hear you two casting the pods again. It’s as if you’d never been away: opinionated, nerdy, laugh-out-loud funny, and full of ‘way too much information about (sometimes not very good) movies and TV.Elvis, welcome back and call your local Ag Extension about the grub infestation. There may be a better solution than expensive little containers of insecticide. If nothing else, you’ll probably get to talk to some cool people.

Peebs – I love me some naked pirate. Aaaarrrr. As later Spielberg movies go, Schindler’s is the least irritating, but I thought he blew it with the red coat thing and the fucking “if only….” group hug scene. He did his best to restrain himself, though, and aside from that, I thought it was a good movie, but no crying from me. I know, I’m a hard bitch.IrishGirl – you mean McCain only has six houses now? How does he manage? I’m with you on Family Guy, it can be hilariously, wildly inappropriate sometimes, and it has all kinds of bizarre references. Probably my favorite thing about it is when they let the joke go on and on and on and on. And Quagmire, I have a strange attraction/loathing toward him. Giggity. It still doesn’t bat a thousand the way some South Park episodes do, though, especially their digs at various & sundry religions. And seriously, glad to hear your dulcet tones again, there, Elvis.

Man, I had never heard of Erik-John Hexum, but after reading his Wikipedia article, that’s a tragic way to die. Terry Kath went the same way… only with more drunk and a real bullet.

Sorry, Jon-Erik. Double names don’t work with me. Hence my idiotic pseudonym.Funnily enough, I’m just watching the Family Guy version of Return of the Jedi and they get pretty meta at the end where they make fun of Seth Green, then turn it back on Seth MacFarlane and how Family Guy gets released on weird DVD sets.

  • MrBrink

Oh, that felt good.Yeah.Like make-up sex, or some prison glass boob.Happy New Year.
