Mubarak Obama

Posted by JM Ashby

Fixed News expert on social and legal matters, Monica Crowley, was so upset by the president’s decision on DOMA today that she could hardly contain herself. What comes next is exactly what you’re expecting.

“To me, it’ s a form of dictatorship,” she said “That’s Mubarak Obama. You cannot just pick and choose which law you will enforce when you are president of the United States or the Attorney General.”

So refusing to defend a discriminatory, and unconstitutional, law is worthy of dictatorship, but the torture of the Bush administration wasn’t, right Monica? Good thing we can always count on Fox to keep things in perspective!

    What a disgusting performance.

Crowley is, and has always been a twit. Her career is based on her ability to flatter old disgusting white men.Her radio program, if it still exists, matches Limbaugh’s in idiocy.

  • ec

Let’s remind Monica of Bush’s record of signing statements.Hideous.

these people are insane or evil. can’t decide which.

  • Bull Schmitt

In fairness, if Crowley wants to defend ‘the torture of the Bush administration’…

I’m all for it – when can we get started?

  • Lexaburn

“Pathetic” just about says it all, Nicky.Monica “Old Has-been” Crow-lyWe can all play word association.

Bu!Duuuh Monica,I think President Obama has a firmer grasp on the Constitution then you.I would tell you to go back to school but it seems your party of choice is trying it’s best to eliminate that. It’s OK darling, your talking to people much dumber then you. They will follow.

  • alopecia

these people are insane or evil. Those are not mutually exclusive, you know.

What’s really so hysterical (if it wasn’t so sad) is how seriously these talking mannequins take themselves.Well, of course, that’s before they go home to spend quality time deciding which hair/nail colour looks best.

I dread saying it, but there is another civil war coming to America; and it will be between Americans and the GOP.The GOP thinks they’re in a stealth war to save the America of 60 years ago and they are using any means necessary to win. Democrats and independents think we’re still all just Americans involved in the debates of a wonderful democracy. NOT!To the GOP, this is a war to them. They see most of us as an insurrection destroying their country and we must be stopped. That is why they use crazy rhetoric and are so unhinged. This is serious business to them.I say another civil war because they’re everywhere. Half the country is conservative and they’re still buying into the pyramid scheme that is conservative economics. They all think their going to get their golden ticket into the emerald city when the plutocracy is complete. When Democrats and independents realize that war has been declared on them by the GOP, I think we are going to face a “Correction” in our democracy. I have little doubt that we will win, America seems to always come out on the right side of good, but I don’t like the idea of brother turning on brother; but that is civil war.You think I’m wrong, look at the number of stories of relatives who can’t talk to each other anymore. And, then neighbors who can’t have a conversation with other neighbors anymore. You can’t talk politics without it becoming extremely toxic between differing opinions.I hope I’m wrong!

you aren’t wrong, Dan. We’re like 2 different species scrambling for life, equally strong, both predators, and one of us is no longer willing to be half of the whole…..they want it all, including our freedom, our rights.

  • http://www.politicalruminations.com/ Nicole473

@alopecia…..i know. and both terms probably apply to many of them.

  • GrafZeppelin127

@Dan -I don’t know if it’s all that different now than it was in 2003. GOP fans have been conditioned to hate “liberals” for as long as I can remember.I agree with you, though, that it is incredibly frustrating to be unable to discuss matters of importance without the person you’re discussing them with becoming angry and winding up hating you. I have at least two ex-friends whom I can’t talk to anymore because they are so consumed with hatred for anyone who doesn’t automatically vote Republican and reflexively hate Democrats and “liberals” as much as they do.

Monica Crowley is a female parrot endlessly repeating the propaganda that her boss Rupert of Murdoch feeds her through an ear piece.Speaking of propaganda, an article appeared in Rolling Stone magazine yesterday about how some junior general in the army in Afghanistan was using “psy ops” propaganda on visiting US congressmen.I wonder what Crowley would have to say about that?

I liked it when that one mannequin came right out and told the other mannequin that Republicans would want to repeal rights of gay people, if it wasn’t for the threat of impeachment. Two other things:- The president isn’t actually the one enforcing the law. He’s not catching any crooks, he’s not prosecuting anyone in court. So he issued a memo or whatever telling those who actually do enforce the laws to not bother because the law is unconstitutional, but that’s hardly dictatorship. I’d be willing to bet that if a federal prosecutor ignored that memo and did enforce DOMA, there would be no consequences.- Even if we assume that the president is indeed single-handedly throwing out a law (he’s not), there’s a big big big big difference between someone ignoring a law that’s patently unconstitutional in order to give a group of people equal rights and Kelly’s hypothetical GOP president single-handedly taking rights away from a group of people. THAT’s dictatorship. Dictators tend not to give MORE rights to their people.

I was sort of transfixed on the clear plastic step that props up the barbie doll host on the show. I guess she would just fall over if it wasn’t there and that would be more distracting than listening to the actual content in the story. I really wish the plastic step wasn’t there.

Wow, ever since you implemented your system of moderating comments, there is literally no dissenting comments on this blog anymore. You are even more of a hacktastic sycophant than ever. Enjoy your echo chamber. Now for something truly informative:Speaking of, it’s way, way past time for President Obama to stop being such a pussy about this battle. He doesn’t have to specifically address the concerns of each state (although he should). But howzabout a clear but general statement on support for collective bargaining rights, huh? Would that be so fucking hard? Or is the White House too worried that Hannity will get pissy about it? Or that it would focus attention on the fact that the White House froze the pay for federal workers?
