We generally think of the Republican party itself as one big scam aimed at deceiving voters into thinking the party has their best interests at heart, but the Ted Cruz campaign has taken a more literal approach.
The Cruz campaign has apparently been sending out mailers that say there's a "check enclosed" but it's actually a not-so-cleverly disguised request for a matching donation.
Moreover, the mailer appears to come from the office of Senator Ted Cruz rather than his campaign.
This is at least the second time in a week the Cruz campaign has been caught perpetrating a scam.
