Republican presidential candidates Senator Ted Cruz and Governor John Kasich have formed an alliance with the intent of not competing directly against each other in an effort to stop frontrunner Donald Trump, but they evidently have no idea how that's suppose to work.
Kasich would still prefer it if voters chose him even if that defeats the entire purpose of their non-aggression treaty.
“I’ve never told them not to vote for me,” he said at a diner in Philadelphia. "They ought to vote for me."
“I’m not out there campaigning and spending resources,” Kasich added. "I’m not going to spend resources in Indiana, [Cruz is] not going to spend resources in other places.
Whether or not they can correctly executive their plan to keep losing is immaterial. It's mathematically impossible for Cruz or Kasich top capture enough of the remaining delegates to win.
The only way Donald Trump will not be the GOP nominee is if the party hands the nomination to someone else at their convention.
Kasich just announced that he wants the people of Indiana to vote for him. Typical politician - can't make a deal work.

I want to say a more serious candidate rather than the suicide squad the GOP assembled in this cycle could have stopped Donald Trump, but there are no serious Republicans.
