That'd be a HUGE lie. But while it's awful and expected, it worries me.
As we have observed for eight-plus years, McBush Republicans are most effective when they lie -- because they're usually allowed to get away with it. To wit... everyone -- I mean, every single barbecue face on television today repeated the lie that Palin opposed and thwarted the bridge to blah blah when, in fact, she absolutely supported the project and campaigned on it. As history has shown, these very obvious lies tend to become fact (if repeated enough) and any after-the-fact attempt to debunk it tends to fail once voters have made up their minds. The Swift Boat Veterans for instance.
