Listening to Scarborough this morning, it's clear that the Republicans are desperate for any sort of positive news. Scarborough is giddy. Michael Steele is giddy. It's a shame they can't blame the president for Corzine and Deeds losing (exit polls show that the vote had little or nothing to do with the president's performance).
Of course Mike Murphy is all over this lie, suggesting that -- despite the exits -- independents voted Republican because of the president. Once again, the very serious cable news people had their scripts ready and reality made the scripts irrelevant. It's fascinating to observe which talkers revise the script, and which talkers plow forward with the predetermined lie.
