No, really
The Ryan selection sent a jolt of electricity, and the conservative base, including myself, are energized by it even as it allows Romney now to also appeal to young voters. In one week, Paul Ryan has become a national sex symbol.
If you're having flashbacks of Rich Lowry in 2008 saying he sat up a little straighter on the couch after Sarah Palin winked at him through the TV, you're not alone.
I’m sure I’m not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, “Hey, I think she just winked at me.” And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America.
As for Paul Ryan, I'm not sure how sexy someone whose social politics are just as regressive as Michele Bachmann's can be. Banning abortion without exception, defunding Planned Parenthood, and limiting or eliminating access to birth control don't strike me as very becoming, but I could be wrong. The notion has lead to one of the best new parody accounts on Twitter.
The Freudian pronouncement of Sean Hannity made me think of this.
(maybe NSFW)
Paul Ryan doesn't exactly scream charisma. He doesn't want to "get wonky" on you with his fake math.
