Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) told voters in New Hampshire yesterday that the "world is on fire" thanks to President Obummer-Clinton, and while that is obviously ridiculous, something else stuck out to me.
It should concern you if a 3-year-old is more skeptical of your rhetoric than the adults in the room are.
"The world is on fire?" a young girl, whom the Washington Post identified as 3-year-old Julie Trant, said to chuckles from the audience.
"The world is on fire, yes. Your world is on fire," Cruz said as he turned to the girl, who was sitting on her mother's lap.
Rather than assure the girl that the world is not really on fire, the girl's mother told her that "Uncle Cruz" is the one who will "put that fire out."
We all believed in fairy tales when we were 3-years old, but some people never grow out of them.
