Holy hell. Another revealing bit from that CBS Poll. Extending the Bush tax rates for the rich isn't even particularly popular with Republican voters.
Only around 46 percent of Republicans want the tax rates extended for everyone, while 41 percent of Republicans support President Obama's plan for extending the rates only for Americans earning less than $250K. Read that again: 41 percent of Republicans support the Obama plan!
What does this tell us? The Republicans can sell anything -- even when it's mostly unpopular and entirely stupid. The Democrats, on the other hand, can't sell milk to a starving baby.
