In other news, the chairman of the Florida Budget Subcommittee on Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriation, Sen. Mike Fasano (R), was stripped of his chairmanship this week because of his opposition to Governor Rick Scott's plan to mandate the privatization of all correctional facilities in 18 counties even though his last attempt to do so was ruled unconstitutional.
