I'm feeling really out of the loop on this thing -- even though I have a profound and well-documented disdain for President Bush. What is anyone winning by mailing shoes to the White House? What's the prize? According to this guy they won't make it to the president anyway.
Then again, I suppose if someone is angry enough and they see a fantastically awesome upside for the progressive movement in spending resources to show solidarity with someone who physically accosted the president, they certainly don't need my permission to run to the post office with their box of shoes.
Though buying some warm footwear and donating it to a homeless shelter might be a better expenditure of money and effort. Just suggesting.
