Limbaugh cancellation edition.
Peter Gabriel for pulling his music off the Limbaugh show.
"Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh's extraordinary attack on Sandra Flute. It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter's work that he would never approve such a use. He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments."
I've contacted the publicist for a favorite band of mine whose music also appears on the Limbaugh show. Two of the three members have daughters and ought to be appalled by their music being associated with such misogyny (among other things).
And two radio stations have dropped the Limbaugh program.
WBEC in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, along with KPUA in Hilo, Hawaii, both said that Limbaugh's words — he called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" for her advocacy of insurance coverage of birth control, along with other incendiary remarks — had crossed a line for them.
Small steps, but every station counts.
