WellPoint and their subsidiary Blue Cross continue to make a strong case for healthcare reform and a public insurance option:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota used premium payments to fund $15 million in employee bonuses, cover $35,000 for a retirement party and pay for other questionable expenses, according to a state audit released Tuesday.
If more people understood how their premiums were being spent, they certainly wouldn't be as satisfied with their health insurance policies. Sadly, most people don't know even know the details of their policy, much less how their premiums are being abused by corporate stooges.
