The Topeka City Council on Tuesday voted to repeal the city’s law against misdemeanor domestic battery, the latest in a budget battle that has freed about 30 abuse suspects from charges.
In defense of the council, Shawnee County dumped the prosecution responsibility onto the city and, of course, the city can't afford to prosecute.
Well, the good news is the private sector will work it all out. Who needs big government telling abusive assholes who they can and can't beat up in the privacy of their own homes.
