The New Jersey Star-Ledger is calling from the impeachment or resignation of Governor Chris Christie if the latest allegations from former Port Authority official David Wildstein prove to be true.
Forget about the White House in 2016. The question now is whether Gov. Chris Christie can survive as governor. [...]
Wildstein claims there is documentary proof that the governor has been lying.
If this proves to be true, then the governor must resign or be impeached. Because it will show that everything he said at his famous two-hour press conference was a lie.
Four months ago the Star-Ledger editorial board issued a ringing endorsement of the governor for his reelection. Despite labeling him a fraud, a catastrophe, hostile, and egotistical, among other things, they endorsed him against his challenger Barbara Buono.
They’re right. He should be impeached or resign if what was revealed today is true, but the full scope of their editorial malfeasance is apparent today.
Four months isn’t a very long time to go from endorsing someone to calling for their head.
