It will be increasingly difficult for the RNC to distance itself from the positions of Donald Trump if their other candidates embrace his positions.
Senator and Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz appeared on Fox & Friends his morning where he defended Donald.
"I like Donald Trump. I think he's terrific, I think he's brash, I think he speaks the truth," Cruz said Tuesday morning on Fox News. "And I think NBC is engaging in political correctness that is silly and that is wrong."
Both NBC and Univision cut ties with Trump after he said this:
"When do we beat Mexico at the border? They're laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. ... When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They are bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
"I think he's terrific" Cruz said. This is "political correctness" run amok.
Cruz's embrace of Trump prompted me to watch this again and it's still the funniest goddamn thing I've ever seen.
The real unemployment is who knows? Pick a hat. Pick a hat out of a hat. Find a hat and there's another hat inside of it. That's how badly our hat business is doing in the United States. There are drifts of hats in the streets with other hats in it.
Mexico has the hats. They have the hat dance. They know what to do with them. The Mexicans know what to do with the hats and we don't.
