Disgraced Louisiana governor and hopeless Republican presidential candidate Bobby Jindal took the "really politically incorrect" route on his presidential campaign blog this morning and descended to new levels of unrivaled depravity.
Jindal is attacking the estranged father of the Oregon community college shooter who he blames for the entire incident.
Now, let’s get really politically incorrect here and talk specifically about this horror in Oregon. This killer’s father is now lecturing us on the need for gun control and he says he has no idea how or where his son got the guns.
Of course he doesn’t know. You know why he doesn’t know? Because he is not, and has never been in his son’s life. He’s a complete failure as a father, he should be embarrassed to even show his face in public. He’s the problem here.
He brags that he has never held a gun in his life and that he had no idea that his son had any guns. Why didn’t he know? Because he failed to raise his son. He should be ashamed of himself, and he owes us all an apology.
Though the shooter's actions were unforgivable, his father also lost a son on that day. The father may or may not have been a major factor in his son's life, but one thing we can be sure about, and one thing Bobby Jindal himself states, is his father was not responsible for fetishizing guns in the household.
That would be the shooter's mother who is responsible for that.
Ms. Harper, who divorced her husband a decade ago, appears to have been by far the most significant figure in her son’s troubled life; neighbors say he rarely left their apartment. Unlike his father, who said on television that he had no idea Mr. Harper-Mercer cared so deeply about guns, his mother was well aware of his fascination. In fact, she shared it: In a series of online postings over a decade, Ms. Harper, a nurse, said she kept numerous firearms in her home and expressed pride in her knowledge about them, as well as in her son’s expertise on the subject. [...]
In an online forum, answering a question about state gun laws several years ago, Ms. Harper took a jab at “lame states” that impose limits on keeping loaded firearms in the home, and noted that she had AR-15 and AK-47 semiautomatic rifles, along with a Glock handgun. She also indicated that her son, who lived with her, was well versed in guns, citing him as her source of information on gun laws, saying he “has much knowledge in this field.”
“I keep two full mags in my Glock case. And the ARs & AKs all have loaded mags,” Ms. Harper wrote. “No one will be ‘dropping’ by my house uninvited without acknowledgement.”
Rather than blame the mother for fetishizing guns, Bobby Jindal tore into the father who doesn't even own a single gun.
Moreover, the mother was reportedly a big fan of Donald Trump. Trump is a man who may be number 1 on Bobby Jindal's shitlist, however he chose to assail the estranged father who wasn't responsible for bringing numerous guns or poisonous ideology into the household.
The father, not the mother, owes the world an apology, Jindal said. Leaping forward to attack the parents is nothing I would ordinarily do even under these circumstances, but if we're going to point fingers I believe they should be pointed in the right direction.
The party of personal responsibility is interested in anything but correctly assigning or taking responsibility. The title of Jindal's blog post is "We fill Our Culture With Garbage, And We Reap The Result." He's certainly right about that, but Jindal is the garbage.
I feel sorry for Jindal's children as I can only imagine what kind of depraved family life they lead together. Bobby Jindal is a fucking terrible person.
