An explosive device of some description was mailed to billionaire donor and philanthropist -- and frequent target of right wing rhetoric -- George Soros, two days ago.
Another explosive device was mailed to the offices of Bill and Hillary Clinton yesterday.
A third explosive device was mailed to President Obama and a fourth device was mailed to CNN's headquarters in New York City this morning.
From the New York Times:
Explosive devices were sent to former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as to CNN’s offices in New York, sparking an intense investigation on Wednesday into whether a bomber is going after targets that have often been the subject of right-wing ire.
The three devices were similar to one found Monday at the home of George Soros, the billionaire philanthropist and liberal donor who has come under fierce criticism from conservatives and conspiracy theorists.
None of the devices harmed anyone. Law enforcement officials said they were investigating whether all the devices were sent by the same person or persons.
We don't know for sure if these attempted assassinations are all connected, but it seems likely that they are.
NBC's Pete Williams reported this morning that at least some of the packages have the same return address, but that address isn't being reported because it's fake; meaning the real bomber tried to implicate someone else.
The package with an explosive device sent to CNN’s NY offices was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan, CNN has learned. Brennan doesn't work for CNN. He's a contributor for MSNBC.

There are reports of other offices receiving suspicious packages this morning, including the offices of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), but reports are sketchy at best as of this writing.

Update... We now know that the bombs mailed to multiple offices over the past 24 hours listed the office of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D-FL) as the return address. CNN reports that the package intercepted at her office was actually intended for former Attorney General Eric Holder, but the package was returned to the fake return address before it reached Holder.
Update 2... Another suspicious package similar to all the others was intercepted by Capitol Hill Police according to ABC News. The package was addressed to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).
