In other news, Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) is vowing to continue his filibuster of the nominee for director of the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. A filibuster which has already lasted for most of this year, with Elizabeth Warren withdrawing her nomination to run for the senate after months of stalling by Republicans in congress.
Shelby will only withdraw his objections if the CFPA is neutered first so whoever the incoming director is has no real power.
