New Jersey Governor Chris Christie never did find that elusive position in the Trump regime, but another person close to him has.
Governor Reek's former top adviser Bill Stepien will serve as a "deputy assistant" to despot-elect Donald Trump.
[The] governor pushed [Stepien] out of his circle and stripped him of jobs in the New Jersey GOP and the Republican Governors Association after a January 2014 Bridgegate document dump revealed details of George Washington Bridge lane shutdowns prosecutors said were orchestrated to punish Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich with massive traffic jams because he refused to endorse the governor's re-election.
Stepien was not indicted for his actions, but he was neck-deep in the Bridgegate scandal having communicated with Bridget Anne Kelly, Christie's former deputy chief of staff, and Bill Baroni, the former director of the Port Authority, at every step of the plot against Mark Sokolich.
Kelly and Baroni were recently found guilty for their roles.
All available evidence suggests Stepien is quite a piece of work, so he should fit right in with the Trumps.
It's possible Trump, or at least his son-in-law Jared Kushner, dislike Christie even more than any of us do.
