I'd call that good news. It was the 50-state strategy that delivered congress to the Democrats in the first place. A retreat from that strategy did not produce results.
While pouring my coffee today I found myself trying to remember what the strategy in 2010 was, and I couldn't recall anything resembling a coherent, nation-wide strategy, which is exactly what we need.
