I'm following Kos as he boosts Edwards without endorsing him. This particular line is revealing:
Funny that Kucinich endorsed the war-supporting conservative Edwards in 2004, but has now ditched the far more progressive 2008 edition. I'll never understand that guy.
His confusion about Kucinich notwithstanding, Markos inadvertently underscored my skepticism about the former senator: John Edwards seems to go with what's hot. This year, he's a populist progressive because it's cool and awesome. Four years ago when we especially needed a populist progressive on the Kerry/Edwards ticket -- not so much. This sort of trendy behavior is what might've coaxed him into voting with the president on Iraq.
