Representative Joe “You Lie” Wilson (R-SC) has a not-so-unique theory about possible intervention in Syria, but he may have been the first to enunciate it during a congressional hearing.
WILSON: With the president’s redline, why was there no call for military response in April? Was it delayed to divert attention today from the Benghazi, IRS, NSA scandals, the failure of Obamacare enforcement, the tragedy of the White House-drafted sequestration or the upcoming debt limit vote? Again, why was there no call for a military response four months ago when the president’s red line was crossed?
That’s right. The president has formulated a response to Assad’s use of Sarin gas to divert attention away from Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, Obamacare, sequestration, the debt ceiling, Fast and Furious, Solyndra, the fake moon landing, Sasquatch, and being black.
