Mitch McConnell speaks the truth about the Republican agenda: that the "political goal" of "every active Republican in the country" includes "bad economic numbers."
BAIER: I received an email with a list of quotes on it. Republican candidates and leaders saying that bad economic numbers help Republican chances in 2012…So how do you respond to those Democratic lines of attack?
MCCONNELL: Well, that is true. That’s my single most important political goal, along with every active Republican in the country. But that’s in 2012. Our biggest goal for this year is to get this country straightened out.
Would someone please find out whether or not this can be considered criminal -- or at least investigation-worthy activity? They're deliberately sabotaging the economy, and they're admitting it. They're screwing us all in order to win an election. We certainly can't count on the news media to nail them on this, so what can we do? This has to be actionable in some way.
Adding... Screw you, Mitch McConnell. Screw you very hard. You and your glossy, google-eyed turtle face.
Clarification... McConnell is saying that defeating President Obama is the political goal of every Republican in 2012. So correction here. However, it's clear that bad economic numbers are the way to do it.
