Americans have access to a lot of things. If they have the cash. But I wouldn't consider a $17,000 medical bill for an asthma attack to be "access" in the traditional sense, unless you believe that we all have "access" to, say, private jets. In other words, we can all be treated by the greatest doctors and have access to the most cutting edge treatments. It'll just bankrupt most of us very quickly and our access will be taken away. Along with everything we own.
