The National Guard fell 30 percent short of its recruitment goals over the last 2 months, and that was AFTER they doubled their recruiting staff. One can assume that if they hadn't doubled the staff, recruitment might have been down as much as 60 percent.
When will Washington and the media get the message that Americans don't want this war? How many dead Americans, how many deserters will it take? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, death marches on in Baghdad.
