An unnamed “up-and-coming conservative news network” has put up casting notices for “butler types” and “soap opera actress types."
The network is in search of “dramatic actors for improvised recreations of political events.” It was not immediately clear which recent political events would require a butler or a soap opera actress. [...]
In the casting notice, the butler character is described as “experienced” and “sophisticated,” wearing some kind of suit. The notice calls for “African American,
Caucasian, Hispanic, ethnically ambiguous” actors to audition. The actress character is described as “buxom and attractive.” Additionally, the actress “must be able to convey a range of emotions from excited, to upset, to sexual.” Women auditioning for the role must dress “upscale” in a “form-fitting dress” and heels. “All ethnicities” are invited to audition.
