Last week, Trump's fake TV lawyer Rudy Giuliani called on the Justice Department to cancel special prosecutor Robert Mueller's investigation within the next 24 hours, but was that a serious attempt to end the investigation or just Giuliani running his mouth?
In his own words, that among his many other unhinged utterances was just part of the service he offers as a professional carnival barker.
“I didn’t think it would,” Giuliani told POLITICO with a laugh when asked about the Mueller inquiry’s still being very much an active investigation. “But I still think it should be.” [...]
“That’s what I’m supposed to do,” Giuliani explained on Monday. “What am I supposed to say? That they should investigate him forever? Sorry, I’m not a sucker.”
It's possible there will come a time when Giuliani finds himself on the other end of a subpoena and we'll learn that he isn't actually practicing law or representing Trump in any legal sense just like Michael Cohen wasn't really representing Trump. And Giuliani appears to be doing even less than Michael Cohen did. Giuliani's responsibilities include appearing on television and calling reporters from Yankee stadium to run his mouth a little more.
Media outlets that are considering running with a scoop provided to them by Giuliani should consider his public admission that he's just making shit up because that's what Trump hired him to do.
