This is a weird clip. Beck explains that his audience should pause or turn off his show so they can call their congressional representative (phone number on the screen) and urge them not to take federal money in the state-aid package passed and signed yesterday.
In other words, call the federal government to tell them not to take federal government money. Right. And what happens when police officers, firefighters and teachers are laid off due to a lack of funds?
This is one of those times when his whole ridiculous act can be seriously dangerous. He's playing this character and urging his viewers to sabotage their own well-being.
