Rush Limbaugh (yeah, I used to listen to him) used to love to say that “libbies” push for equality because we can’t compete in “the arena of ideas.” What in the bloody hell equality has to do with this, I have no idea. This of course is complete projection. Conservative ideas can’t compete. They simply don’t work as advertised and enough people see that. The only way the GOP can maintain power is if they twist the so called arena like salamanders to choose their own voters.

This by the way is why I can’t stand self righteous, self serving assholes like Glenn Greenwald. This is the assault on democracy that he can’t be bothered to fight because he’s too busy whining about the surveillance state or some such horseshit.

And because of that, voter suppression tactics, and the Bernie Bums threatening to spoil their votes if Democrats don’t give them what they want, among others, no one – AND I MEAN ABSOLUTLY NO ONE – should be thinking that a blue wave is going to wash the country clean come November. Fuck, Republicans could just as easily gain seats in both the House and Senate.
