After 60 Minutes aired their bombshell Benghazi report featuring noted fraudster Dylan Davies, Senator Lindsey Graham said he would block all nominations until someone tucks him in and tells him a comforting bed time story about the Obama administration’s failure in Benghazi.
Dylan Davies was exposed, 60 Minutes retracted their report, and Simon and Schuster pulled Davies’ book from store shelves, but Senator Lindsey Graham is unmoved by these revelations.
Graham said Sunday that he will continue to threaten a hold on Obama nominees in the Senate until he is able to interview State Department witnesses about the attack.
“I released two [holds] with the understanding that we’re going to have a bipartisan process to interview the survivors and ask the basic questions,” Graham said. “The only reason is I’ve been trying for a year to get the interviews without holds.”
In other words, Lindsey Graham will stick his fingers in his ears and sing ‘la la la I can’t hear you.’
Graham stated last week that he intends to place a hold on the president’s nominations for the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Reserve, neither of which have anything to do with embassy security. Refusing to confirm a director of homeland security or a chairwoman of the Federal Reserve could adversely effect security here at home or the economy, however.
