Hillary Clinton may be guilty of a crime, Darrell Issa says, if she withholds any of the 55,000 emails that she has already turned over.
Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union," Issa noted that "voluntary cooperation does not guarantee that it's a crime not to deliver all" requested emails.
"A subpoena, which Trey Gowdy issued, is so that in fact it will be a crime if she knowingly withholds documents pursuant to subpoena," Issa said. [...]
"She, in fact, hid the very existence of this until she was caught," Issa said.
This is just as good of a time as any to point out that the subpoena issued by Trey Growdy on behalf of the Select Benghazi Committee is for emails that Clinton has already turned over to the State Department.
Furthermore, the existence of her email account was not at all hidden and, in fact, the majority of the hard copies (read: printed) of 55,000 emails handed over to the State Department are duplicates of documents already stored electronically by the department according to department officials.
Darrell Issa must be so jealous now that he is no longer the chairman of the Oversight Committee or a member of the Select Solyndra IRS Committee to Investigate the Benghazi ACORN Birth Certificate Email Address. Because if there's a chicken to be fucked, Darrell Issa wants part of the action.
I'd say I'm fairly cynical, but even I wouldn't have guessed that we would still be talking about Benghazi in 2016 and that appears to be where we're headed. The existence of multiple reports produced by Republican-controlled committees that effectively debunked all manner of Benghazi conspiracy theories did nothing to curb the appetites of congressional or media concern trolls who are jonesing for a Clinton scandal.
