Halperin should stop complaining, put some limits on pandering to the curdled resentment of the right.
What Halperin lacks is any perspective outside his own media wank-zone.
And my take from Saturday on Halperin's "disgusting pro-Obama bias" remarks.
To me, it's more than just pandering or bias with Halperin, it's the way he's championed in the establishment press even though he lacks any unique insight. His whole gig is simply repeating superficial on-the-nose observations without any ability to form his own independent take.
Today, for instance, his ironically titled HALPERIN'S TAKE post was a five-person list of other important politicians besides Obama. No explanations, no justifications, no insight. Just five "important" politicians who are in the news right now. Not powerful, or crazy, or funny, or smart politicians. Just important. They're in the news. Doing stuff. That's all. It's like being paid to compose a list of edible breakfast foods. Not particularly good breakfast foods, mind you. Not recipes. Nothing creative. Just a random list of five edible foods.
