He Should Know

SteveKing

According to Iowa congressman and secret border control agent Steve King, even discussing immigration reform is a very bad idea for Republicans. And you can forget passing it.

“They will have debated immigration November, December, January, all the way through until next October before anything will come to the floor of the House if anything does. I can’t think of a less-strategically-wise strategy for Republicans than debating immigration for 12 full months on the calendar. I think it’s been a mistake to do that and we should move on with Benghazi, IRS, grow our economy, and get the government out of the way so people can create jobs.” -Steve King on Immigration Reform

He’s right. That wouldn’t be wise, especially if Steve King is involved in the debate. A man who claims he has personally and “clandestinely” patrolled the border at night, peering at shadows in the desert.

“That description comes from many days down on the border, riding and sitting with the border patrol and without them at night, no night vision, watching the shadows come across the border, picking people up personally with my hands, unloading illegal drugs out of a vehicle with a false bottom under the truck.” -Steve King on being a secret border control agent

The Republicans could save themselves a lot of trouble by giving in now and agreeing to pass comprehensive immigration reform. But, you know, if they don’t I’ll be sure to cover it here.

They could also spend the next twelve months discussing Benghazi, as Steve King recommends. That’s a great idea.
