Representative Steve Stockman (R-TX) is still trolling on his way out the door.
Stockman, alongside Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI), has introduced a bill to force Washington D.C. to open a gun firing range.
Last week, Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, introduced two bills that would apply to D.C.: One bill would require that a public firing range be opened within city limits, and the second would prohibit the city from using traffic cameras.
There are currently no public firing ranges in D.C., forcing gun-owners to travel to Maryland or Virginia to practice their aim. Congressional Republicans periodically introduce bills that seek to scrap the city’s restrictive gun laws.
Stockman’s traffic camera bill would go far beyond Washington D.C. and withhold federal funding from any state or city that has traffic cameras.
There are many good reasons to have traffic cameras and plenty more reasons to be thankful that Steve Stockman will soon depart Congress. But don’t worry, there will be no shortage of dumbassery in the incoming Congress.
