In other news, the attorneys general of the District of Columbia and Maryland are filing dozens of subpoenas for financial records from Trump properties in the emoluments case. The discovery process is scheduled to last for months.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the US will withdraw from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) in 60 days if the Russians doesn't stop breaking the treaty.
Finally, the market fell off a cliff today (-790 at closing) after Trump branded himself as the "Tariff Man" -- the shittiest superhero ever.
....I am a Tariff Man. When people or countries come in to raid the great wealth of our Nation, I want them to pay for the privilege of doing so. It will always be the best way to max out our economic power. We are right now taking in $billions in Tariffs. MAKE AMERICA RICH AGAIN
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 4, 2018
I'm sure I don't need to tell you, but that's not how tariffs work. Tariffs are a tax paid by consumers. American consumers. We're paying it. Foreigners do not "pay for the privilege" -- we do. Trump is making us all poorer.
