The other day we learned that former head of the RIAA, Hilary Rosen, is now working PR for BP. And now this from Greg Sargent:
Rosen has contracted out some of this work for BP to Castellanos, a Republican consultant who's perhaps best known for the racially charged Jesse Helms ad showing white hands ripping up a resume.
I can only speculate what sorts of awfulness these two will bring to the oil spill disaster. Rosen, for example, was the head of the RIAA during its crusade against Napster users. Meanwhile, Alex Castellanos is one of many Republican masters of the racial dog whistle. Hmm. I wonder if he came up with "shakedown."
Anyway, glad to see these two are raking in piles of cash from the oil spill. Ethical!
