The Steele nomination was another small step forward for America and it could still represent a small step forward for the GOP...but thank god it sure doesn't look that way so far. Michael Steele seems every bit as clueless as the rest of the GOP...

...mainly the ten minutes Steele spent on the show were aimed at propping up the Republican brand as it currently exists -- the byproduct of the race he just ran, in which he largely played down his more moderate roots in favor of positioning himself as a conservative standard-bearer.
