If this report is true and Secretary Geithner successfully won bank bailout terms that are lenient on executive pay and other rules, then I can only imagine that he's both tone deaf and remarkably self-destructive.
I mean, the guy has a giant Klieg light shining on his tax issues and now he appears to be giving the financials a long leash? Well, if he isn't already, he's going to be the most unpopular person in the Obama administration, and in the midst of this recovery bill debate, it's entirely counterproductive and distracting. Not to mention infuriating.
