Last week, Governor Scott Walker and the Republicans of Wisconsin passed legislation, which oversaw deep cuts to education and social programs, at 3 a.m. in violation of his own pledge to not, ya' know, pass legislation at 3 a.m.
In the same budget passed last week at 3 a.m. in the morning which included deep cuts to public education, Wisconsin Assembly Republicans also added a last-minute item to increase funding for privatizing education in the form of vouchers.
The phrase "last-minute" isn't an exaggeration, as the measure to expand the school voucher program was added by the Republican-controlled Assembly at 2 a.m. with the entire budget passing at 3 a.m.
